My weekend exploring the city with Abbey, in pictures!
Started the day with an English breakfast and carrot juice:
View of the Thames River and London Eye:
Christmas market on Southbank. This place was full of cute little gift stalls and food spots. We enjoyed some hot toddies overlooking the market:
Beautiful Christmas lights around Oxford Street and Regent Street. Some of the big department stores also had beautiful window displays in this area:
Camden Market. This place was so cool! Full of stalls with food, crafts, gifts, clothes, Knick knacks, basically anything you could ever want. There was a labyrinth of stalls both in and out of doors:
Abbey (my wonderful London pal!) at Camden:
We had a classic English afternoon tea (complete with sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, and a giant pot of tea) in the Basement Tea Room. It was under the rest of Camden Market, and very peaceful compared to the bustling market overhead:
Me, very excited about the tea:
Syon Park Enchanted Woodland. We went expecting some trees lit up with different colour projected lights, on a 1.5 mile walk around an ornamental lake in the woods. We were blown away by all the special displays, fog, the building, and the magically eerie atmosphere:
It was a fabulous and busy weekend…. as the saying goes, “If you’re bored of London, you’re bored of life.” There is definitely no end of things to do in this city.
Great to hear from you Caelan! Keep enjoying your adventures – I am enjoying them through you! Love, AJ
